Digipak types (research)

There are a number of different styles of digipaks that can be used to case different album types which can advertise the artist differently. The main decision is whether or not we will be using a booklet or if we will just put the information onto the sides of the digipak walls.

6 Panel 1 Tray CD DigiPak Rollfold Template- This is the template that we decided that we wanted as we had the idea of involving all the masks onto the digipak and have it neatly packed.

The fiming (planning)

We filmed the first part of the music video in the first four units of school on the 1st of october. This went well and all the actors turned up on time and we got the shots that we needed from the filming and managed to deit it well. we've got some pictures of the filming.


These are the pictures of the cast and some of the locations which we used on the filming. We didn't run into many problems except the fact that we cut out some of the storyboard that included the main character walking down the corridor or going through the doors, we cut these out because we decided that they would be too long and the audience would lose interest. We also wanted to keep with the usual music video conventions which are usually not too concerned with match on action and usually have quick shots and short edits.

Props and masks (planning)

We needed to find a room and a suitable area leading up to the room for the video which we did in our scout. But mainly we had to make masks that were the the key point of the video, we did this by using paper mache on balloons and then we found a place which would allow us to come and paint them into the designs that we wanted.

The rough cut (research)

We have made a rough cut from the film that we got on friday the 1st of october, this is only the first part of the video but it will give an insight to what the video will be like and will help us to be able to create a style that we intend to carry on throughout the video and so will help us to keep it consistent. It will also help us to get some feedback from our audience so that we can improve it if we need to to suit them better.

Filming (consruction)

We did the first part of our filming on Friday 1 October, we filmed the parts that were in the school because this was the easiest to do and was available at the time, it will also mean that we can get the first part out of the way which will allow us more time to get the second part done which will require more travelling, it will also give us a section that we could show to people so that they get the general idea of what the video is going to be like. It also gives us an idea of how its going to look with the music and if it fits right or not.
